David Hansen was born in Longview, Texas and moved to Bryan in 2010. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education from Wheaton College in 2009 and currently teaches band at Brazos Christian School.
David grew up overseas in Papua New Guinea where he was first introduced to the trombone in the 7th grade. He has played all styles of music his whole musical career included classical, jazz, rock, pop, and gospel. While attended Wheaton College he performed in the Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Brass Quintet, and Trombone Choir, playing lead trombone in all of those positions. In addition to his teaching job, David maintains a busy performing schedule, currently playing with the Temple Symphony Orchestra, Temple Jazz Band, The Theatre Company, and Greg Tivis Jazz Band.
